It's actually a quite incredibly neat little homebrew app for the good old 1st generation of Nintendo DS. If you got one, with an R4 (or any other brand of DS flashcard) card, you should absutely check it out:

'You can't have your cake and eat it too'

It's a good phrase, don't get me wrong, it's a fine way to tell people you can't always have it all. Sometimes you gotta pick one or the other.

Butt!! Here's the problem; while it's nice to make others aware, there is a choice to be made, nobody seems to bother, weighing any of the pros and cons of having versus eating.

So... Any capable wordsmiths who might come across this seemingly pointless post, help me out here will ya? Lets take this phrase most literaly, and imagine you have an actual cake, and the choice of having it, versus eating it. And lets see if we can cook up a good old fashion pros & cons list, to make a bit more sense of a certified classic of a cliché expression.

-Easy conversation starter "Why has that cake been there for 2 days uneaten?".

*Spoiler Alert for the Attack On Titan Anime*

I already read through the Manga. But I just now, started watching the grand finale of the anime.

And I really hated how, one of my favorite chicks of the franchise, Hange Zoe, got shafted near the end of it all. Just stalling time, by heroically throwing herself into a crowd of Collossall Titans. Taking a few down with her, to stall some time for the rest of the main crew.

It seemed like a stupid and pointless sacrifice in two pages of the manga. Butt, in the anime, she went down in a massive blaze of glory.

The grand Falcon Punch moment, aint got NUTHIN on this scene bruh!

Okay, they're not legit sprites from a 2D game, they're just screenshots, taken in an emulator, running Smash Bros Melee, with the backgrounds turned off, and the camera at set distance.

The character is also not symetrical, with that one weird shoulder piece. So the captain will look weird when turned the other way.

But I still think it's a funny thing to play around with, for any sprite animator, have a looksie and play around with it if it seems fun to use! ':D

Okay, if y'all could hear me out on this one; "that would be dope .A.F." Here goes:

So when I'm out and about in the forums around here. Sometimes, I get a sweet reply to some of the shit I said. There's no need for me to type out a whole essay/loveletter, about how much I appreciated that reply. So I leave that friendly responder, with one of them little, yellow, emojicon, smiley-faces.

And maybe I'm in the mood, to pick one of them, wich is happy, but not really too happy, ya know what I'm sayin? Like, ain't nobody love no buttkissers? Am I right fellows (and fellasses)?? So a smile that just keeps it a little cool, ya know?

Something playfull, but not too childish either.

So here we have our assortment, of available faces to express ourselves with towards eachother. Butt, among the happy looking ones, the expression I described earlier, seems to be missing. That's not a complete dealbreaker to me, don't get me wrong. Butt on the bright side; There seems to be, a little bit of space in the bottom-right corner. Just enough room for two extra emojis in there. So could we maybe, possibly, get something like a cute, butt cool little winky face, to fill one of the remaining two spots? Just so I can show I appreciate something, without making a whole big song and dance about it. Or annoyingly long blog-post.

You think that would be something that could be achieved in the near future, good ol' chum @Tomfulp ?

I'm not exactly the kind of guy, who wakes up early in the morning, in his bathrobe and comfortable fluffy slippers, making a super fancy coffee to drink while reading the newspaper.

I am however, a caffeine addict who's starting to wake up more early in the morning, because he's inevitably turning into a grumpy, bitter old man.

But when I am making me a morning coffee, I do like to have some easily digestable, pleasant or funny little things to read, while my groggy @ss is waking up in the morning.

And I do believe that the Newgrounds blog/news -posts can be PERFECT for that. And some people around here can type up a nice entertaining little thing to read. But they usually just get burried by tiny little shitposts, memes, or project announcements or status updates. Wich are all fine and dandy, and should also be freely used for these things. But I would love to see more fun or quirky little slice of life stories, maybe accompanied by some funny doodles here and there.

Kind of like Hyperbole and a half (if you do a quick google search, and find that blogspot website,have a little look, may be a funny timewaster to read).

Yeah, that's pretty much what I wanted to say. So if anybody who might read this, knows a Newgrounds user, who writes up some pretty entertaining news-posts. Please drop me a name of the user in the comments. And in return, I will say a heartfelt 'thank you very much' or simple 'thanks' with a smiling emoji as an added little bonus.
